Polycarbonate roofs

The majority of conservatories have this type of glazing in the roof as opposed to glass.

Foils or blinds can be added to the polycarbonate to reflect the sun in the summer and to retain heat in the colder months.

The foils are by far the more favourable option as this eliminates the heat from the conservatory as it works, by deflecting the suns rays from foil strips inserted into the outer skin of the polycarbonate.

Fortunately this can be carried out after the conservatory has been erected with no major disruption.

It is quite a long tedious process on the part of the fitter; however we comfort ourselves with the knowledge that you'll be able to use your conservatory more often once the foils are in place.

The foils come in a choice of colours and can deflect as much as 80% to 85% of the sun's heat, and up to 99% of the aging UV rays.
